SiteTrax.io Drive: Installation and Usage Guide
Welcome to SiteTrax.io Drive, the cutting-edge vehicle-mounted solution designed to streamline yard inventory and enhance operational visibility. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for mounting, installing, and using SiteTrax.io Drive effectively.
Components of SiteTrax.io Drive
Exterior-Mounted Camera: Captures high-resolution video of assets.
Interior Tablet with Docking Station: Previews the capture area and uploads data to Service Portal.
Mounting Kit: Includes hardware for securely mounting the camera and docking station to the vehicle.
Power and Data Cables: Provides power and camera connection.
Quick Start Guide: A printed reference for installation and setup.
Step 1: Mounting the Camera
Select the Mounting Location:
Choose a spot on the exterior of your vehicle where the camera has a clear line of sight to the containers or inventory area.
Avoid obstructions like wipers, antennas, or reflective surfaces.
Attach the Camera:
Use the provided magnetic mount to secure the camera.
Connect the USB Cable:
Route the USB cable to the camera, ensuring it doesn't interfere with vehicle operation.
Plug the camera cable into USB cable from the Docking station.
Step 2: Installing the Interior Tablet
Position the Docking Station:
Mount the docking station in an ergonomic location within the vehicle, such as the dashboard or armrest area.
Ensure the placement allows the driver to interact with the tablet safely and comfortably.
Secure the Docking Station:
Use the provided mounting screws or suction cup to attach the docking station securely.
Insert the Tablet:
Place the tablet into the docking station, aligning it with the connectors.
Power the Tablet:
Connect the tablet to the vehicle's power supply using the included cable.
Step 3: Connecting the System
Connect Tablet to Internet:
Use the Android pull down menu to access the WiFi settings and connect tablet to local WiFi.
If WiFi is not available cellular service may be used, please contact your SiteTrax.io representative for assistance.
Link the Camera and Tablet:
Use the provided data cable to connect the camera to the tablet.
Ensure all connections are secure and test for functionality.
Test the Setup:
Power on the tablet and open the SiteTrax.io Capture app.
Confirm the live video feed from the camera is displayed on the tablet.
Step 4: Using SiteTrax.io Drive
Launch the SiteTrax.io Capture App:
Power on the tablet and tap the SiteTrax.io Capture app icon.
Perform Yard Checks:
Press the record button in the SIteTrax.io Capture interface.
Drive the vehicle around the yard or designated area.
The camera will capture video as the vehicle drives the yard.
Stop Recording
After driving the entire area to be captured, press the stop recording button.
Confirm uploads
Navigate to the uploads screen from the menu button and confirm all videos have been uploaded.
This may require the tablet to be brought back in WIFI range.
Be sure to close the app after each day to clear any storage used during capture.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Camera Maintenance:
Clean the lens regularly to ensure optimal video quality.
Inspect the mounting bracket for wear or looseness.
Tablet Maintenance:
Update the SiteTrax.io Capture app as new versions are released.
Check for system notifications or connectivity issues.
Be sure the tablet is charged regularly
Troubleshooting:
If the camera feed is not displaying, ensure all cables are securely connected.
Restart the tablet if the app freezes or fails to launch.
