Components of SiteTrax.io Drive

  • Interior Tablet with Docking Station: Displays captured data and integrates with the SiteTrax.io Capture app.
  • Mounting Kit: Includes hardware for securely attaching the camera and docking station.
  • Power and Data Cables: Provide connectivity between the components.
  • Quick Start Guide: A printed reference for installation and setup.

Step 1: Mounting the Camera

  1. Select the Mounting Location:

    • Choose a spot on the exterior of your vehicle where the camera has a clear line of sight to the yard or inventory area.
    • Avoid obstructions like wipers, antennas, or reflective surfaces.

  2. Attach the Camera:

    • Use the provided mounting bracket to secure the camera.
    • Ensure the camera is firmly fastened and can withstand vibrations or movement during vehicle operation.

  3. Connect the Power Cable:

    • Route the power cable to the camera, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with vehicle operation.
    • Plug the cable into the camera and secure it with the locking mechanism.

Step 2: Installing the Interior Tablet

  1. Position the Docking Station:

    • Mount the docking station in an ergonomic location within the vehicle, such as the dashboard or armrest area.
    • Ensure the placement allows the driver to interact with the tablet safely and comfortably.

  2. Secure the Docking Station:

    • Use the provided mounting screws or adhesive pad to attach the docking station securely.

  3. Insert the Tablet:

    • Place the tablet into the docking station, aligning it with the connectors.

  4. Power the Tablet:

    • Connect the tablet to the vehicle’s power supply using the included cable.

Step 3: Connecting the System

  1. Link the Camera and Tablet:

    • Use the provided data cable to connect the camera to the tablet.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and test for functionality.

  2. Test the Setup:

    • Power on the tablet and open the SiteTrax.io Capture app.
    • Confirm the live video feed from the camera is displayed on the tablet.

Step 4: Using SiteTrax.io Drive

  1. Launch the SiteTrax.io Capture App:

    • Power on the tablet and tap the SiteTrax.io Capture app icon.
    • Select the desired mode (e.g., Quick Capture or Manual Video).

  2. Perform Yard Checks:

    • Drive the vehicle around the yard or designated area.
    • Use the camera feed to locate and scan asset IDs.

  3. Review Captured Data:

    • Confirm that the captured data (e.g., asset IDs, timestamps, GPS location) is visible on the app interface.

  4. Submit Data:

    • Once the yard check is complete, upload the captured data to the SiteTrax.io backend via the app.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Camera Maintenance:

    • Clean the lens regularly to ensure optimal video quality.
    • Inspect the mounting bracket for wear or looseness.

  • Tablet Maintenance:

    • Update the SiteTrax.io Capture app as new versions are released.
    • Check for system notifications or connectivity issues.

  • Troubleshooting:

    • If the camera feed is not displaying, ensure all cables are securely connected.
    • Restart the tablet if the app freezes or fails to launch.
