Download Options

1. SiteTrax.io Capture Mobile App

    2. Search for SiteTrax.io Capture.
    3. Download and install the app.

  • App Features:
    • Two Video Capture Modes:
      • Quick Capture Mode: Ideal for taking a single, quick scan of an asset.
      • Manual Video Mode: Allows for continuous video scanning, making it perfect for scenarios like yard inventory checks or asset inspections.

Capture Modes in Detail

Quick Capture Mode

Quick Capture Mode is available in both the SiteTrax.io Capture mobile app and the SiteTrax.io Snap PWA. This mode is designed for users who need to capture a single scan of an asset quickly and efficiently. It is perfect for Proof of Pickup (POP) and Proof of Delivery (POD) scenarios, where a single asset is being tracked.

  • How it works:
    • Open the app or PWA and navigate to Quick Capture mode.
    • Use your device’s camera to capture a short video (3 seconds) of the asset.
    • The captured video is automatically uploaded to the SiteTrax.io backend for processing.
    • The GPS coordinates and other metadata (such as the asset ID) are embedded in the video for tracking purposes.
  • Key Use Cases:
    • Scanning individual containers, trailers, or trucks.
    • Capturing a single point of proof, such as at delivery or pickup.

Manual Video Mode (Continuous Scanning)

Manual Video Mode is available exclusively in the SiteTrax.io Capture mobile app. This mode enables users to capture longer, continuous videos, which is especially useful for scenarios where multiple assets need to be scanned over a period of time, such as yard inventory checks.

  • How it works:
    • Open the SiteTrax.io Capture app and select Manual Video mode.
    • Use your device to record a continuous video of assets.
    • The video will be uploaded to the SiteTrax.io backend for processing.
    • This mode provides a streamlined solution for capturing and processing large volumes of assets at once.
  • Key Use Cases:
    • Yard inventory checks where multiple containers or trailers are being scanned.
    • Continuous asset tracking over a larger area or timeframe.

Video Processing

Once the video is captured using either Quick Capture or Manual Video mode, it is automatically uploaded to the SiteTrax.io backend for processing. SiteTrax.io analyzes the video to extract relevant data, such as:

  • Asset Identification: The unique ID of the asset is captured and processed.
  • GPS Coordinates: The location of the asset is embedded in the video, ensuring precise tracking.
  • Timestamp: The time of capture is logged, providing a reliable record for Proof of Pickup (POP) or Proof of Delivery (POD).

Processed data is then made available through the SiteTrax.io platform, which can push the results to other systems via REST API integration.

System Requirements

To ensure optimal performance, please make sure your device meets the following requirements:

  • Android 10 or later
  • Internet connection for uploading videos to the backend
  • Device camera (with recommended 1920x1080 resolution and 30 FPS video capture)

Common Use Cases

  • Proof of Delivery (POD): Capture video proof of delivered goods by scanning the asset upon delivery. SiteTrax.io ensures that the time, location, and asset ID are recorded.
  • Yard Inventory Management: Use Manual Video Mode to scan multiple assets within a yard, helping with accurate inventory counts.
  • Proof of Pickup (POP): Record a short video of an asset upon pickup for accountability and tracking.
